WfW GREEN HOTELs serve drinking water of the most local source. In this way, they avoid unnecessary packaging, transport and recycling costs and rely on drinking water that flows out of the taps in all WfW partner establishments in the best quality, meets strict guidelines regarding hygiene and safety, compares well with commercially available branded water in terms of minerals and leaves a carbon footprint 1,500 times smaller than Swiss bottled water.
Social
The WfW GREEN HOTEL concept is characterised by the combination of ecological action with the concept of global social equity. Thus, the partnership contributions of the hotels flow into water, hygiene and education programmes of WfW in Mozambique, Switzerland and Zambia.
IMPLEMENTATION
Drinking water from the most local source
WfW GREEN HOTELs serve their guests fresh drinking water from the most local source in their rooms. This is 1500 times more ecological than branded water.
Gastromomy
WfW GREEN HOTELs implement either WfW CLASSIC or WfW GREEN in their gastronomy. This means that guests, whether in their room, in the lobby, at the bar or in the restaurant, can enjoy the most local drinking water.
Partnership contribution
WfW GREEN HOTELs make a monthly partnership contribution to WATER FOR WATER (WfW). In this way, they support the implementation of water, hygiene and education projects of WfW in Mozambique, Switzerland and Zambia.
Communication
Printed carafes and attractively designed information materials visibly communicate the commitment to guests.
Swisstainable
WfW GREEN HOTEL is recognised as a sustainability qualification in the Swisstainable programme of Switzerland Tourism.
