Continuing on our mission to ensure that water is more accessible and that it is managed professionally, we are proud to share that we now have signed Working Agreements with St. Mawaggali Trades Training Institute (StMTTI) in Choma and Solwezi Trades Training Institute (SOTTI) in Solwezi.
At StMTTI, we will provide support to establish the plumbing and pipefitting course and upgrade one of the trainers' qualifications; at SOTTI, we will help to upgrade the infrastructure for a plumbing workshop as well as two of the trainers' qualifications for the plumbing and pipefitting course. To begin, we provided each institution with training equipment
The WfW Skills Development programme aims to empower young learners and cultivate thriving professionals who can contribute to safe and reliable water and sanitation systems in Zambia. To achieve this, we support vocational institutions to equip our youths with the necessary resources in order for them to excel in their vocational training. This includes connecting them to institutes and experts in the sector who deliver industry training sessions (Friday workshops) and internship opportunities, ensuring that students are learning the most up-to-date material for the water sector.
