Together with LVTC, WfW has been providing training for plumbers and water operators since 2015.
2024, with scholarships, we could support 117 university students at LVTC (Lusaka Vocational and Technical College) and MTTI (Mansa Technical Training Institute) in Zambia! Since 2015, we have been supporting students in water-related study programmes to obtain trade and craft certificates, and this year, our scholarship holders will receive financial support and a semester bursary to cover essential expenses such as food and transport.
In addition, we officially handed over workshop equipment worth 400,000 Kwacha at LVTC in the presence of Alex Simumba, the Director of Vocational Training at the Ministry of Science and Technology, and other valued co-operation partners. We also distributed personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats and work suits, to the students we support in Lusaka and Mansa, as well as to the CDF and TEVET scholarship holders who attend our supported water courses.
